Selecta! is a study in music app design. Mainly an aesthetic study, no UX research has been performed in its design. However, choices made in layout and UI elements were carefully considered for the end user.

The Browse screen allows users to discover the many fine artists in the world of Drum & Bass. Already know your producers? Use the ever-present search bar. While DnB can get very hot, Selecta! maintains a cooler, fresh color scheme.

Labelling = Doing

While many music apps seem to crowd their UI with tons of features and icons, this can become confusing when it comes to usability. With my approach to Selecta!, I wanted to provide simple, labeled buttons for features.

So you've discovered a new artist that you really like! Listen to all of their songs from the handy list, and learn about them as well from the info card.

Accounts For Serious Bass Heads

The menu is where you sign in, keep all of your favorites, and your playlist.
